Diamond Grille and Ultra Stainless are two of our most popular door and screen ranges. Both are custom made to your opening and professionally installed — the right pick for your home usually comes down to the look you're after and your budget.
How they're built
Ultra Stainless uses a fine stainless steel mesh in an aluminium frame. From a few metres back it reads almost like a flyscreen — you get clear sightlines and it disappears against most façades. Diamond Grille uses 7mm powder-coated aluminium grilles in a classic diamond pattern — a heavier, more visible look that suits a different style of home.
Look and sightlines
Where they really differ is what you notice day to day:
- Ultra Stainless — near-invisible mesh, best where you want the door itself to disappear and keep the view through it clear.
- Diamond Grille — a visible, classic diamond pattern, often chosen for street-facing entries or older Queenslander-style homes where the grille look suits the aesthetic.
Price
Diamond Grille is generally the more budget-friendly option of the two, which is part of why it sits well as our core mid-market line. Ultra Stainless costs more but the finer mesh and slimmer frame are the trade-off you're paying for.
Which to pick
If sightlines and a lower profile matter most — go Ultra Stainless. If you prefer a classic, visible grille look, or you're working to a tighter budget, Diamond Grille is a great option. Either way, both are custom made to your opening and professionally installed.
